Through strategic and collaborative partnership with engineering, design and purchasing experts, SAIA demonstrates manufacturing and assembly competency by managing safety, quality, delivery, cost containment, Kaizen, and team member development systems to assemble, sequence, and ship world-class seat sets to Mazda Toyota Manufacturing, U.S.A. (MTMUS).
Operating in a safe, diverse, and environmentally-friendly production environment, SAIA currently supplies MTMUS 14 different seat sets for the Toyota Cross and 21 different seat sets for the Mazda CX-50.
High-quality seats are assembled with a focusing on safety and comfort to create a great driving and riding experience. We employ world-class manufacturing principles involving Kanban utilization, real-time efficiency tracking, safety critical technology, state-of-the-art measuring systems, off-line and in-line sound booth testing, and quality inspection checks to ensure that we assemble seats that exceed customer expectations.
Seats are sequenced using an automated FIFO seat set retrieval-to-broadcast system using Kanban scanning verification for just-In-time delivery to customer assembly line.
At full production, SAIA can produce 300,000 sets of front and rear seats for MTM-manufactured vehicles in a just-in-time environment that are shipped in sequence from our 42,000 sq. ft. facility.
